Carpet cleaning in Harrow

Drying

Most rooms are dry enough to walk on in socks within two to three hours, and properly dry the same day. Wool takes longer than a synthetic twist. We open windows and leave the pile brushed the right way.

What we move

Sofas, chairs, coffee tables and beds on castors. Not pianos, wardrobes or full bookcases. Anything we move goes back on foil or pads so the feet do not mark the damp pile.

Questions we get asked

How long before I can put the furniture back?

Walk on it in socks after two to three hours. Heavy furniture is better left off until the pile is properly dry, which is the same day in a warm room and longer on wool. Anything we move goes back on foil or pads so the feet do not mark damp carpet. Leave those under the legs overnight.

Will you move the beds and the sofa?

Sofas, chairs, coffee tables and beds on castors, yes. Not pianos, not wardrobes, and not a full bookcase, because emptying it is your job and lifting it is nobody’s. Clear the small things off the floor before we arrive and the whole job runs quicker. Anything too heavy, we clean up to it and around it.
